Leila Small

K/1st Grade Teacher

Hi everyone! My name is Leila Small and I am a current junior from New York City. I am double majoring in Education Studies and Psychology with a minor in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies. In my free time, I am both a coordinator and a volunteer for several volunteer programs that work with elementary and middle school students through the Brandeis organization, Waltham Group, and I enjoy trying out different on-campus activities whether that is intramural sports or the 24 hour musical. Besides Brandeis, one of my favorite places to be at is Ramah Day Camp in Nyack where I have been a counselor, residential advisor, and almost 2nd grade assistant head (pre-COVID-19) for the last four summers. One fun fact about me is that I went to Barack Obama’s 2014 Hanukkah Party at the White House – it was incredible! I cannot wait for a fun-filled year with Kindergarten and 1st grade!
